This well-established British company specialises in the design and manufacture of high end commercial furniture and also provides bespoke solutions for its clients and trade partners. Design and manufacturing is carried out at their Head Office in Buckinghamshire supported by their showroom in London.
They are currently looking to recruit a designer who is enthusiastic, dynamic, highly creative and with an eye for detail. The main responsibility will be to work alongside the business generation team understanding and developing detailed design briefs, generating presentation documents and assisting their Business Design Managers in successfully pitching to targeted business opportunities.
Office furniture design experience is preferable but not essential, but you will need a degree level qualification in Design with an emphasis on interiors, space planning and graphics. A high level of initiative and organisational ability would be expected with good interpersonal skills as from time to time it will be expected that you will take part in client meetings to identify the brief or help present with the pitch. The right candidate would have a natural flair for 3D space planning, a good eye for detail with fluency in AutoCAD and Adobe Acrobat / associated graphic packages that will be used to form standard presentation templates. Knowledge of SketchUp and Solidworks would also be an advantage.
