This leading manufacturer of aesthetic, high quality bespoke joinery operates nationwide and offer total management of joinery packages, from initial site survey through to installation. Due to an increase in business they are seeking a Technical Designer who can produce detailed 3D models, renders and 2D technical drawings of furniture and joinery via the draft stages.

Once finalised, the drawings are then used for the manufacturing processes in their onsite factory and site fitting. Take offs for CNC milling and other outsourced material production, will also be required directly from the 3D models into a CAD format, so accuracy is vital.

This role would be ideal for a technical designer with 2 to 3 years’ experience of bespoke joinery and resistant materials, who is passionate about problem solving the complexities of bringing different materials together to realise the client’s aspirations. You’ll need experience of 3D CAD packages (Solid Edge would be a bonus but SolidWorks would be fine. Knowledge of Keyshot would also be an advantage). With knowledge from within the cabinetmaking / bespoke furniture design / kitchen planning industry you’ll also be familiar with a wide range of materials as they deal with timber, panel products, solid surfaces, stone, glass and steel.

This growing company creates luxury contemporary lighting, supplying a loyal base of returning interior designers and architectural practices world-wide. Production of the component parts takes place in small workshops around the UK which are then assembled to order at their Berkshire HQ. They are currently recruiting to fill the position of Operations Manager and are looking for someone who is ready to grow and build a career with them.

You’ll have responsibility for running their in-house workshop production for both standard and custom orders, managing supplier relationships, stock management and ensuring the quality of all lights leaving the workshop. You’ll be responsible for technical management of products, ensuring that all products meet legislative requirements. You’ll also be spearheading continuous process and quality improvement and delivering new product development projects plus planning and managing the set-up, installation, and (where necessary) break-down of exhibition stands, showroom displays, photography sets and showcase displays.

You’ll need strong production management experience in the high-end interiors industry (experience of the lighting industry is an advantage but not essential). You’ll be a confident and highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail together with a pro-active approach with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. This company are currently looking for a Kitchen / Interior Designer for their large showroom just South of Reading where they offer everything that you need for the kitchen, bedroom and living areas of your home. You will be working in this beautiful 18th century converted Gatehouse, handling clients sympathetic to their design briefs, creating highest standards of creative designs and managing projects through to reality. The Designer will need to fully understand and implement the clients design principles and offer world class customer service.

Responsibilities will include: listening to and discussing customer needs to create a design brief in store; working with and supporting colleagues in store (and from the installation team) to provide a consistent and exceptional customer journey; producing designs and kitchen presentation packs using Autokitchen (training will be given); conducting surveys; administering and managing customer projects.

With experience in kitchen design or residential interior design you’ll be able to use AutoCAD (or a similar design package) and have project coordination and administration skills. You’ll possess a friendly and outgoing personality along with a confident and articulate manner.
