This leading manufacturer of aesthetic, high quality bespoke joinery operates nationwide and offer total management of joinery packages, from initial site survey through to installation. They are a fast growing company with a high level of repeat clients and new customers joining their portfolio constantly and seek a technical Joinery Designer.
The successful candidate will be required to produce a high standard of detailed 3D models in Solid Edge, producing renders in Keyshot, and detailed 2D technical drawings via the draft stages. Once finalised, the drawings are then used for the manufacturing processes in their onsite factory and site fitting. Take offs for CNC milling and other outsourced material production will also be required directly from the 3D models into a CAD format, so accuracy is vital.
Manufacturing and pre-installation construction takes place in house, so good communication is required between sales, projects management, design team, production and the joiners, to resolve any potential design and material issues.
This role would be ideal for a technical designer with 2 to 4 years’ experience of bespoke joinery and resistant materials, who is passionate about problem solving the complexities of bringing different materials together to realise the client’s aspirations. You’ll need experience of 3D CAD packages (Solid Edge would be a bonus but SolidWorks would be fine). With knowledge from within the cabinet making, fitted kitchen or bespoke joinery industry you’ll also be familiar with a wide range of materials as they deal with timber, panel products, solid surfaces, stone, glass and steel.
Salary will be in the range of £21,000 to £25,000 plus paid overtime. Please contact Pippa on 01920 486125 for further details, or simply forward your application and CV / portfolio to email@example.com.
