This growing company manufactures luxury contemporary lighting, supplying a loyal base of returning interior designers and architectural practices world-wide. Production of the component parts takes place in small workshops around the UK and are then assembled to order at their Berkshire HQ. They are currently recruiting for a Production Manager and ideally want someone who is looking to build a career and grow with them.
You’ll have responsibility for running their in-house workshop production for both standard and custom orders, managing supplier relationships and ensuring the quality of all lights leaving the workshop. Other responsibilities include, stock management, ownership of the production process manual, line management, health & safety and training of the production team. You’ll also be responsible for technical management of products, ensuring that all products meet legislative requirements, managing in-house and third party testing where needed. You’ll be spearheading continuous process and quality improvement and delivering new product development projects plus planning and managing the set-up, installation, and (where necessary) break-down of exhibition stands, showroom displays, photography sets and showcase displays.
You’ll need strong production management experience in the high-end interiors industry plus experience of the lighting industry (BS EN 60598-1 an advantage but not essential). You’ll be a confident and highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail together with a pro-active approach with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. You’ll possess excellent IT skills and be an expert user of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and Windows Explorer and have some experience of using Sage Accounting.
