This company has a long history of producing high quality commercial furniture for the workplace on the same site for over 110 years. With a busy design and engineering team they are now seeking a designer who is enthusiastic, creative and with an eye for detail. This individual will work closely with the sales team to assist with turning enquiries into concept drawings and designs that can be costed before gaining the client’s approval.

The successful applicant will be responsible for detailing standard, tailored and bespoke products for customer approval and manufacture. This will involve liaising with customers, sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure all solutions are in order, to secure future projects, the applicant will also liaise with the Sales Team to generate CAD models, space plans, 2D drawings and concept imagery in response to their customers’ specific requirements.

With at least 2+ years’ experience from the furniture / interiors sector, you’ll have a Furniture or Product Design degree and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You’ll also need good concept design and 3D modelling abilities and fluency in SolidWorks with AutoCAD and 3D Studio an advantage although not essential.

This leading playground supplier develops, produces and markets an extensive range of playground equipment that covers all age groups. In addition to playgrounds they are also an innovation leader in outdoor sport and fitness.

They are looking to recruit an enthusiastic designer / 3D Visualiser to join their team of playground designers creating innovative, imaginative and bespoke play spaces and sport & fitness areas.

You’ll be responsible for taking projects from designing and costing the playground, producing detailed AutoCAD layouts and on to producing 2D/3D visualisations, image boards and presentations. You’ll work as an individual, but at the same time collaborating with a team of eight designers and twenty area sales managers to produce work to the highest possible standard.

A creative eye with the ability to freehand draw will be needed along with proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D Studio Max (or similar). With a design related degree you’ll have up to 2 years’ experience and be able to create both 2D plans and 3D visuals.

This role requires a strong, driven and experienced sales individual to drive sales and profit with new and existing clients, whilst managing accounts and relationships proactively. Predominately covering the South East region, this is a field-based, customer centric role, in which the ideal candidate will employ a consultative approach, taking their influencing skills to clients directly.

Regularly meeting with customers, you will be equally as comfortable communicating with them on a one to one basis as you would be delivering presentations to a group of clients. The ability to listen, build rapport and use intuitive approaches to manage professional relationships with our highly regarded key accounts is essential to this role.

With a University degree, or the ability to demonstrate a good standard in literacy and numeracy, you’ll ideally come from a property development sales, associated construction industry, supply or interior design sales background. With experience in sales project management you’ll have a good understanding of continuous improvement techniques, lead generation and business development. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentational) will be needed along with the ability to operate self-sufficiently in a principally field based role. You’ll be organised, self-reliant, adept at prioritising, able to meet deadlines, demonstrate the potential to operate at a tactical level and show strategic thinking. Good computer literacy (specifically Excel) will also be needed.
