This leading British manufacturer of beautiful bespoke furniture, cabinetry and specialist joinery work with prominent private, professional and commercial clients worldwide. Their large purpose-built manufacturing complex is home to traditional cabinet making, veneering, carving and gilding skills, complemented by modern design, manufacturing and finishing techniques.

Experienced in all aspects of joinery manufacture and installation, they are seeking an Estimator to take responsibility for preparing estimates and quotes to meet Company and Client objectives of specification, quality, cost and timescale within approved processes, policies and procedures.

This will include: developing estimates and quotes against client specification / requirements; utilising and developing the pricing database / IT tools; obtaining external quotes for Outworks and negotiating where possible; managing the risk involved in a project through tight specification and recorded discussions with the client; organising an effective handover and introducing the client to the Project Team; managing control of variations / additions as the contract dictates; documenting the estimating process and looking for continuous improvement in procedures; providing a Cost Analysis of completed projects and utilising learnings.

Experience in a wood based environment such as joinery, shopfitting or interiors would be preferable but you must be commercially aware and able to maintain effective working relationships with both clients and colleagues. You’ll possess the ability to control costs and make efficient use of resources as well as being able to present and communicate appropriately to clients and colleagues. Experience of managing information and data will be essential.

Experienced in all aspects of joinery manufacture and installation, they work closely with main contractors, designers and architects on both classical and contemporary interiors including dressing rooms, staircases and libraries, cinemas, wine rooms and games rooms.

Ever busy, they are currently seeking a Project Manager to manage and maintain programmes to meet both Company and Client objectives. As well as running these projects and being responsible for their team’s performance and output the Project Managers also assist in the bidding / winning process in order to maximise their commercial advantage.

From an established project management background within the cabinet making, furniture or interior design industry you’ll have a clear understanding of AutoCAD in order to read and amend drawings for manufacture. You’ll be able to manage and lead intern members of a project team as well as managing client interfaces and maintaining effective working relationships. Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of financials around projects you’ll possess an understanding of basic revenue models and P/L forecasts and have experience of making efficient use of resources and controlling costs.

They are currently looking for Showroom Managers for two of their showrooms where you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the showroom, promoting awareness of the Showroom locally plus taking ownership of the Showrooms business objectives and targets. One of the showrooms is just south of Coventry, the other in Cambridge.

Day-to-day activities will include: managing the showroom and room sets; keeping all staff rotas up-to-date and carrying out the ongoing training of part-time staff; ensuring all leads and appointments have had the correct paperwork; liaising with the relevant Sales Designers regarding the status of current appointments; holding monthly team meetings; working closely with the group’s marketing department to organise mail shots to potential clients; organising special events for the showroom to generate further foot flow into the showroom and to open up networking opportunities.

Computer literate, you’ll be able to speak knowledgably and in a confident manner to clients, sales designers and all other interested parties about the products and business. You’ll have experience of working in a showroom (greeting customers) and be capable of taking the initiative to help ensure the success of the showroom. You’ll need to be well-organised, smart in appearance and able to initiate and maintain good working relationships with both colleagues and clients.

This luxury motor yacht builder started in the early 1960’s and builds motor yachts in both its original base in Peterborough and at another site in the UK. They are currently looking for an Interior Designer to cover maternity leave which will be an initial 3 month contract but may well be extended or become a full-time role. The main remit is to implement the interior style on all new product introductions, liaise with customers for interior schemes for customers requesting that service and CAD modelling of furniture parts.

Degree educated in Interior or Furniture Design your experience should come from the marine, high-end residential or luxury / boutique hotel sectors and include knowledge of CNC furniture construction. IT skills needed are Photoshop and 3D CAD modelling (Solid Edge or similar) and good hand sketching ability is also needed.
