Reporting to the Furniture Team Leader this role requires a creative individual to work on a variety of show home designs in line with each of the clients’ briefs. Alongside a designer, you will be planning the layouts and sourcing the latest in design led furniture. You will be part of a team that manages the work of turning a customer’s requirements into a reality.

Key Responsibilities include: Working to a design brief to specify, spatially arrange, plan and cost furniture; Keeping up to date with furniture suppliers, trends and creative solutions; Creating and maintaining budget / costing sheets using Excel; Maintaining job files with any changes from original presentation / design.

With evidence of a creative / design led background and relevant qualifications you’ll be proficient in Excel with knowledge of VectorWorks / AutoCAD preferred. You’ll have both space planning and knowledge of show home design and have worked with different furniture suppliers and styles. Planned and organised with good attention to detail you’ll possess an eye for proportion / colour / balance design and good 3D awareness.

Key requirements for this role are: An appreciation and understanding of a show home installation and planning of the styling; Knowledge of upholstering bed bases and steaming bed linen; Fixing prints, mirrors and furniture where required; Furniture building and remedial repairs if required; Ability to identify site problems, reporting and finding solutions; Coordination and execution of the aftercare services across the Creative Site Installation Teams; Overseeing warehouse styling stock, source and plan own styling work where required.

Known for creative design and pioneering craftsmanship, this company combines traditional hand skills with advanced materials and technology to create award-winning furniture for yachts and houses of ultra-high net worth individuals, throughout the world. Due to taking on a large design project, they are looking for an additional furniture designer who can turn inspiring design concepts into a set of engineering drawings for in-house manufacture including CNC, laser work, hand-making, leatherwork and finishing as well as outsourced parts made by external sub-contractors. You will also be preparing a bill of materials to be sourced and ordered by purchasing.

You’ll be an all-rounder with strong conceptual, sketching and CAD skills with at least 4 years’ knowledge of bespoke furniture making and construction at a luxury level. Fluency in 2D & 3D CAD software (with Rhino an advantage) is a must and the ability to plan and schedule your own work (particularly important if working remotely) will be needed. Along with excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills and the ability to work to budgets for completion of engineering drawings you’ll be able to demonstrate a passion and drive to create amazing products with a high level of attention to detail.

This has resulted in a vacancy for a skilled specialist finisher with a wealth of practical experience to join and potentially oversee the existing team there. Skills Required: Gilding, Verre Eglomisé; French polishing, painting, staining and colouring timbers; Spray lacquering; Decorative painting; Gesso; Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Experience in a similar cabinet making or finishing role is essential and a restoration background would be desirable. With state of the art in-house production facilities and a creative and technical studio they are looking for Furniture Design Engineers.

The successful candidates will take inspiring design concepts and using CAD software turn the designs into a set of engineering drawings for in-house manufacture including CNC, laser work, hand making, leatherwork and finishing as well as outsourced parts made by external sub-contractors. Also preparing a bill of materials to be sourced and ordered by purchasing.

With at least 5 years’ experience of bespoke furniture making and construction at a luxury level you’ll be fluent in both 2D and 3D CAD software with Rhino being an advantage.
