This atelier design studio design and fabricate unique, custom-made sculptural pieces and limited-edition collections for interior decorators, collectors and private clients. Their goal is to help shape remarkable interior beauty by nurturing, inspiring and enriching their relationships with artisans, craftspeople and partners (the communities they support) and their clients. You’ll be working with a great company on some amazing and exciting products. They are constantly evolving, have a strong focus on their people and a very high level of staff retention.

They are now recruiting for a Design Cost Estimator responsible for the costing of materials and processes for the manufacturing of their Designs. You will be expected to cost engineer company products, maintaining excellent quality whilst providing the best costings and efficiency for product manufacturing. A comprehensive understanding of materials and processes is therefore essential alongside being able to interpret production drawings. You will need to have a good rapport with all stakeholders in the business, both in-house and externally with suppliers to maintain and develop good working relationships. You will also have an eye for optimum costings and be able to form an efficient database administration.

With a BA (Hons) in Product Design, Architecture (or similar subject) and ideally 5 years’ experience in a similar role you’ll have Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) skills as well as good MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) skills. Adaptable, reliable and efficient you’ll possess strong negotiation skills and be a supportive and collaborative individual.
