This fast growing provider of domestic lighting to National Retailers and its own brand label is looking for a dynamic individual with an eye for detail, creative thinking and brand understanding to join them as a Senior Product Designer. They are looking for an energetic individual with infectious creativity who displays real passion and pride in all aspects of their work. You will require a resourceful can do attitude and a hands-on approach, balanced with advanced 2D and 3D skills and manufacturing awareness to help effectively communicate your thinking and designs.

Working within their product team, you will be tasked with developing lighting products from initial concept, through to final prototypes for internal brands and leading national accounts. This role holds responsibilities and real career progression.

With a BA or MA in Product Design or Industrial Design and a minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience from sketching / ideation to final production you’ll need knowledge of current design software and techniques in both 2D and 3D (they use Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Creo, SiemensNx, Rhino and 3DSMax). Experience with rendering packages such as Luxion KeyShot and the ability to interpret technical drawings and translate these into a usable format for manufacture will be needed. You’ll also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as a working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.

This role requires a strong, driven and experienced sales individual to drive sales and profit with new and existing clients, whilst managing accounts and relationships proactively. Predominately covering the South East region, this is a field-based, customer centric role, in which the ideal candidate will employ a consultative approach, taking their influencing skills to clients directly.

Regularly meeting with customers, you will be equally as comfortable communicating with them on a one to one basis as you would be delivering presentations to a group of clients. The ability to listen, build rapport and use intuitive approaches to manage professional relationships with our highly regarded key accounts is essential to this role.

With a University degree, or the ability to demonstrate a good standard in literacy and numeracy, you’ll ideally come from a property development sales, associated construction industry, supply or interior design sales background. With experience in sales project management you’ll have a good understanding of continuous improvement techniques, lead generation and business development. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentational) will be needed along with the ability to operate self-sufficiently in a principally field based role. You’ll be organised, self-reliant, adept at prioritising, able to meet deadlines, demonstrate the potential to operate at a tactical level and show strategic thinking. Good computer literacy (specifically Excel) will also be needed.

This will be the main driver towards the next phase of the company’s growth. To help achieve this, they are looking for an Operations Manager to join their skilled team to run the production facility.

They are looking for someone who has previously had the experience of leading the change from a workshop environment to a professional manufacturing and QC house, with the people, team and culture at the heart of process. You will be initiating and driving lean management and change culture through empowerment of the team and building a new way of working. Experience in upholstery is not a prerequisite, although passion, determination, integrity and a good nature is!

With relevant qualifications, ideally in Business Administration and experience of working in a workshop environment (an engineering background would be advantageous) you’ll possess strong leadership and management skills. You’ll have a systematic and organised approach together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ideally, they are looking for an ideas person with creative flair which would be a beneficial attribute to have.

This well-established company of furniture designers and makers are based in East Devon and manufacture custom-made furniture for high-end residential projects throughout the UK and abroad. An exciting opportunity has just come up for an experienced Furniture Designer / CAD Technician to join the existing team and provide support to the project managers and the workshop.

Main areas of responsibility include: client liaison; design development; site survey work; researching and integrating fittings; the production of presentation and working drawings; briefing makers and regular visits to the workshop.

With at least 3 years’ experience within the furniture sector you’ll be AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks literate with experience of producing detailed drawings of bespoke furniture for manufacture. Experience of actually making furniture would be advantageous. Finally good communication skills will be essential.
