This theatrical design and production company operates out of a 14,000 sq. ft. workshop near the Essex / Hertfordshire borders, producing work for high profile brands and events. Their work includes sets and props for events, product launches, exhibitions, sampling campaigns and experiential marketing projects such as a 5m high giant lipstick, a billboard sized chocolate bar and a UK tour of experiential mud huts for a leading charity.

They seek a Production Manager to ensure that all their projects are delivered as designed on time and on budget and to enable production to improve and increase capacity through more efficient production processes. This is a pivotal hands-on role managing a hardworking and committed production team. Candidates would ideally come from a proven theatrical or exhibition background and have experience in production management of a broad range of sets, props and modular units, from conception through to execution. Working with an adaptable, flexible, accommodating attitude is a must and understanding the ever-changing demands of high-end brands is essential.

The right candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in exacting manufacturing projects and supervising and motivating a team of workers. You’ll need good computer skills around MS office with AutoCAD skills an advantage but not essential. You’ll be experienced in the planning and executing of projects based around strict budgets and deadlines. As well as having the ability to deliver reports on scheduling and costs you’ll be familiar with the monitoring of product standards and implementation of quality-control programmes.

Excellent attention to detail is a must and having a fork lift licence would be helpful but not essential.

This family-run business produce and deliver a diverse range of sets and props for events, product launches, exhibitions, sampling campaigns and experiential marketing projects with high levels of customer service and quality finishes. Their in-house services include event design and production, project management, spray finishing, sewing and costume, operations, logistics and storage.

As the Workshop Manager you will be responsible for the full end-to-end production build for all projects – taking the lead on production builds from brief through to delivery. With man management experience, you will also oversee a sub-contract production team which can vary in size from 1 to 20, depending on each project. Maintaining and organising the workshop space, woodstore, outside yard and storage containers will also be part of your remit. They also love dogs and have a special dog crèche on site.

Ideally from a theatrical or exhibition background you’ll have experience in the production of a broad range of sets, props joinery and modular units. An understanding of the ever changing demands of high-end brands is essential and knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD / SketchUp) would be an advantage. Strong leadership and the ability to work under pressure is needed and qualifications or experience in health and safety compliance and buildings maintenance would be an added benefit but is not essential.   • Good knowledge and experience of Photoshop or similar

This role requires a strong, driven and experienced sales individual to drive sales and profit with new and existing clients, whilst managing accounts and relationships proactively. Predominately covering the South East region, this is a field-based, customer centric role, in which the ideal candidate will employ a consultative approach, taking their influencing skills to clients directly.

Regularly meeting with customers, you will be equally as comfortable communicating with them on a one to one basis as you would be delivering presentations to a group of clients. The ability to listen, build rapport and use intuitive approaches to manage professional relationships with our highly regarded key accounts is essential to this role.

With a University degree, or the ability to demonstrate a good standard in literacy and numeracy, you’ll ideally come from a property development sales, associated construction industry, supply or interior design sales background. With experience in sales project management you’ll have a good understanding of continuous improvement techniques, lead generation and business development. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentational) will be needed along with the ability to operate self-sufficiently in a principally field based role. You’ll be organised, self-reliant, adept at prioritising, able to meet deadlines, demonstrate the potential to operate at a tactical level and show strategic thinking. Good computer literacy (specifically Excel) will also be needed.
