The Head of Scenic will be responsible for full end-to-end, successful, production realisation of scenic and finishes of all projects.

This is a hands-on, production workshop-based role and you will be: Responsible for checking artwork from clients ahead of sending to print, creating cutter guides and checking print deliveries as soon as possible and highlighting errors; Upholding sustainable working practices including recycling of materials; Responsible for technical processes, meeting production timelines and providing WIP photos for clients; Creating production images for the website and social media content stories and posts.

You should be experienced in the planning and execution of projects based around strict budgets and deadlines. Ideally having come from an event, theatrical or exhibition background, you’ll have a broad range of production knowledge from conception through to execution. Excellent communication skills plus the ability to deliver reports on scheduling and costs will be needed. You’ll be able to monitor product standards and implement quality-control programmes as well as having the ability to read drawings and create / read artwork files. As an enthusiastic, self-motivated, positive and a team player you’ll also have some practical skills such as painting, basic carpentry and sewing.

They are currently looking for a Technical Production Assistant to support the Production Team. You will be creating CAD drawings, art working, proposals, pitch work and design costing. You will also be project managing smaller projects from brief through to delivery, ensuring successful realisation of projects adopting a hands-on approach to working in the production workshop.

Other duties include: Design interpretation, creating mood boards if required and basic visualisations; Performing practical tasks in the workshop such as prop making, finishing, vinyling, painting, sewing and basic carpentry; Creating CNC files and assisting with the creation of content for social media posts and stories.

With experience of using CAD, CNC and Adobe Illustrator, you’ll have good administration and project management skills and be able to demonstrate a hands-on approach at all times. Bespoke projects require careful and considered detailing. This entails producing a wide range of plans including 3D visuals, planting plans, construction details, lighting plans and irrigation plans. This is all coordinated in-house by their skilled and dedicated team and to which they wish to recruit a graduate landscape architect or junior garden designer with good CAD skills (preferably VectorWorks).

Duties will include: Drawing and specifying landscape plans for construction and tender as well as providing 3D visuals; Preparing a wide range of other plans such as planting plans, construction details, lighting and irrigation plans; Dealing directly with clients to facilitate plan changes and updates as well as managing deadlines.

Conversant with CAD (ideally VectorWorks or AutoCAD), you’ll have planting knowledge and a sound working knowledge of landscape construction. Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality is a must and you’ll be confident in dealing with clients and be able to work either independently or under direction.
