Their showroom is within easy access of all the major London film studios and they have created a new role of Deputy Workshop Manager. Your role will be to assist the Workshop Manager in leading and managing their friendly in-house workshop team, along with maintaining and repairing the vast stock of antique furniture and accessories. Additionally, due to industry demand, they anticipate expanding this department to incorporate model making so any previous model making experience would be beneficial.

The successful applicant will need knowledge of a broad range of construction techniques and materials, as well as excellent woodworking skills and an interest in furniture restoration. You will also be working in conjunction with the Loss & Damage Coordinator to calculate repair costings which will be passed on to their clients. You’ll receive plenty of training and good career progression as the company is expanding both in size and the services it offers.

With at least two years’ experience in theatre, set or furniture construction you’ll have experience in managing budgets, purchasing and negotiating with suppliers. Strong communication skills and the ability to work alone with minimum supervision will be needed. Computer literate, you’ll have a positive and flexible approach to problem-solving with attention to detail and a willingness to learn new skills. Knowledge of upholstery and traditional French polishing would be an advantage as will qualifications or studies in electrical installation.

You’ll have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing and selling within the luxury interiors sector (kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms or other fitted furniture) and be CAD literate. You’ll be well-presented, a good listener and able to generate a first impression that creates confidence with their discerning clients. Able to manage your own diary and arrange client visits you’ll understand the specific storage needs of the client. The Senior Designer is currently looking for a designer to support them in a non-sales role. It would be showroom based Monday to Friday, 9.30am – 5.30pm. No Saturdays required at present, as they work by appointment only.

Based in a lovely location near Peterborough you will be assisting with designing to the brief, producing 3D visuals, pricing and preparing the quotation for checking, setting out mood boards for client meets, handling suppliers and sample ordering. In return additional training will be given and the chance to progress. They would also be interested in hearing from any experienced Designers who are looking to return to work in a supporting non-sales role.

You’ll have a minimum of 2 years’ experience designing kitchens using CAD (ideally Fusion) you’ll also have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in pricing kitchens (ideally using EQ).
