This is an opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual to become part of a growing team of people, producing soft furnishings for trade clients including interior designers, architects and developers throughout London and the South. Their work includes handmade curtains, blinds, cushions and upholstery for some of the finest residential and commercial spaces in the UK and abroad.
Key responsibilities include: creating estimates and issuing invoices; site surveys and taking accurate measurements; project managing curtains and blinds, cushion and upholstery jobs from conception to completion; creating worksheets for manufacture for every bespoke item; answering design and manufacturing queries and problem solving; business development from existing and new contacts; managing social marketing media.
Together with industry knowledge, you’ll need 5 years’ experience in a similar environment plus the ability to prioritise and manage a large number of projects at the same time. Exceptional attention to detail and numeracy is required alongside the ability to work as part of a team and having a positive and energetic outlook. A driving licence will also be needed.
Basic salary is £28,000 to £30,000 plus 5% commission on sales. Pension, laptop and phone are provided and you’ll get 20 days holiday per year (excluding bank holidays). Hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
