This company is a specialist creator and provider of contract furniture into spaces with demanding needs. Their furniture is designed to enhance challenging environments, from high-traffic footfall areas such as receptions and waiting rooms to high security buildings such as psychiatric units or prisons. They are current recruiting for a Product Development Manager that can project manage the delivery of new products to enhance the Company’s product range.

Other responsibilities include: managing the design and development process and effectively running many different projects simultaneously; keeping projects on track and on schedule and using initiative to overcome any set-backs or delays; maintaining relations with suppliers and prototype providers, modifying or adjusting prototypes as needed; liaising with Quality Control; regular contact with customers to retain an in depth knowledge of needs and desires; managing overheads to keep costs within any specified budgets and balancing cost control with quality maintenance to ensure problem-free products.

You’ll have a product or furniture design degree along with strong project management experience and excellent organisational and sourcing skills. Your experience will include furniture manufacturing and production drawings using AutoCAD and previous experience working with plastics techniques will be an advantage but not a necessity. A self-driven and confident personality, with an assertive management style will work well along with proven supplier management skills and a willingness to travel abroad when required.

This company provides contract furniture designed to enhance challenging environments, from high-traffic footfall areas such as receptions and waiting rooms to high security buildings such as prisons.

To help with their growth and react to their increasingly busy workload they have created a new key position of Prototyper. The main remit is to build and amend prototypes for new products being developed. This includes building prototypes from new as well as amending existing items.

Duties include constructing new Prototypes from sketches or manufacturing drawings, amending existing prototypes received from suppliers, advising on foams / webbing / construction of frame, advising on improvements with regard to design and upholstery at concept stage and providing input for value engineering.

They want someone that likes a challenge and has lots of initiative as well as upholstery skills. There will be other projects apart from upholstery so they need you to be flexible also. Alongside experience in upholstery and knowledge of fabrics and materials you will need good carpentry and cabinet making skills.

They are a large team of passionate, committed professionals who excel in delivering a personable, yet professional service and are currently seeking a Design Account Manager to join the team.

This role requires a strong, driven and experienced sales individual to drive sales and profit with new and existing clients, whilst managing accounts and relationships proactively. Predominately covering the South East region, this is a field-based, customer centric role, in which the ideal candidate will employ a consultative approach, taking their influencing skills to clients directly.

Regularly meeting with customers, you will be equally as comfortable communicating with them on a one to one basis as you would be delivering presentations to a group of clients. The ability to listen, build rapport and use intuitive approaches to manage professional relationships with our highly regarded key accounts is essential to this role.

With a University degree, or the ability to demonstrate a good standard in literacy and numeracy, you’ll ideally come from a property development sales, associated construction industry, supply or interior design sales background. With experience in sales project management you’ll have a good understanding of continuous improvement techniques, lead generation and business development. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentational) will be needed along with the ability to operate self-sufficiently in a principally field based role. You’ll be organised, self-reliant, adept at prioritising, able to meet deadlines, demonstrate the potential to operate at a tactical level and show strategic thinking. Good computer literacy (specifically Excel) will also be needed.
