As a thriving online business their website is their “shop front” and they need to increase their design sales force to meet the demand for their products.

They currently have a few opportunities in different regions to join their field-based team including a Business Development Manager for the county of Essex. All leads will be generated in-house and you will be given an average of 40 enquiries per month to contact, arrange visits and convert into design and sales.

You’ll have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing and selling within the luxury interiors sector (kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms or other fitted furniture) and be CAD literate. You’ll be well-presented, a good listener and able to generate a first impression that creates confidence with their discerning clients. Able to manage your own diary and arrange client visits you’ll understand the specific storage needs of the client. Creative and able to produce high-quality designs you should be meticulous and accurate whilst taking site measurements for the in-house drawing and quotation teams. This role will need you to be mobile with your own car to visit clients.

Basic Salary is £36,000 + 3% commission on sales (OTE of £80k), plus bonus’ on a sliding scale, the ability to work from home and expenses. Since the early 1990’s our client has evolved their own unique approach to creating handmade truly bespoke kitchens, bedrooms, studies, wine rooms and other bespoke furniture. With a constantly increasing level of business, they are now looking to recruit a full time CAD Setting Out Draughtsman of Bespoke Joinery. You will be producing Setting Out Drawings and Production Cutting Lists for the manufacturing of bespoke high-end joinery including Kitchens, Bedrooms, Studies and Wine Rooms.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Joinery Fitter with experience working as a Bench Joiner and/or have experience producing Setting Out Drawings and creating Cutting Lists. You will be working as part of a Drawing Office team and with their Kitchen and Furniture Designers. Full training will be provided for the right candidate which may include a period of working alongside their current installers and bench joiners as required. You must be IT Literate and fluent in both written and oral English.

With an increase in business, they are seeking a Kitchen Designer / Interior Architect to join the team based in their showroom.

In this role you will need to demonstrate a flair for creative solutions with both design and practicality in mind. You will have a fine eye for design and detail and be extremely thorough in the delivery of your projects. The role will be working Monday to Friday with 2 Saturdays a month (day off in lieu). In return you will be joining a company with a very low turnover of staff, a friendly and helpful team, plenty of on-going training and room to develop and hone your skills.

With 2+ years’ experience on bespoke, handmade kitchens and/or fitted furniture you’ll have knowledge of and an appreciation of furniture, joinery and internal architecture. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be needed together with CAD skills (Revit or similar). You’ll be able to think for yourself and come up with practical solutions and have the ability to generate innovative design ideas with attention to detail.

An opportunity has arisen with this leading innovator in home beauty and personal wellness for a full-time Industrial Designer to join the team working on Beauty and Massage products. The successful candidate will design new and innovative products and manage their development projects from concept through to mass production. This role will be a mix of home and office working and your portfolio will need to showcase a variety of skills and processes including research, mood boards, sketching, concept development, CAD and rendering.

You’ll be: Producing sketches, renders and 3D files to communicate design concepts; Creating detailed CMF and Product Specification documents; Carrying out visual / technical evaluations of product samples; Contributing towards technical copy for instruction booklets and product marketing materials; Liaising effectively with quality compliance and legal teams to ensure all required standards for products are met and maintained; Overseeing project timings to ensure on-time delivery.

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Product Design or Industrial Design you’ll have a minimum of 3 years’ consumer product design experience and excellent design communication skills (sketching, ideation, presentation). Strongly proficient in SolidWorks, Adobe CC and KeyShot (or equivalent) you’ll be a creative thinker, innovator and problem solver with a strong understanding of materials and manufacturing process (especially for plastics). You should be a confident communicator with clear and concise written and verbal skills. Experience of app/software specification for connected products would be an advantage.
