This leading British manufacturer of bespoke furniture, cabinetry and specialist joinery works closely with prominent private, professional and commercial clients worldwide. Experienced in all aspects of joinery manufacture and installation, they work closely with main contractors, designers and architects on both classical and contemporary interiors including dressing rooms, staircases and libraries, cinemas, wine rooms and games rooms.

Ever busy, they are currently seeking a Project Manager to manage and maintain programmes to meet both Company and Client objectives. As well as running these projects and being responsible for their team’s performance and output the Project Managers also assist in the bidding / winning process in order to maximise the commercial advantage. They might consider someone working remotely for 2 or 3 days per week but you would need to be living in the South East of England.

With Project Management experience from within the cabinet making, furniture, joinery or interior design industry you’ll have the ability to manage and lead internal members of a project team. Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of financials around projects you’ll also have an understanding of basic revenue models and P/L forecasts plus experience of making efficient use of resources and controlling costs. You’ll also need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of AutoCAD to read and amend drawings for manufacture.

Salary is negotiable plus profit share scheme and pension. This British Company manufactures beautiful bespoke furniture, cabinetry and specialist joinery work for a global network of clients. Their large purpose-built manufacturing complex is home to traditional cabinet making, veneering, carving and gilding skills, complemented by modern design, manufacturing and finishing techniques. Projects include dressing rooms, staircases and libraries, cinemas, wine rooms and games rooms and they are currently looking for an experienced Furniture Technician to join this team. They are based in Norfolk but depending on your level of experience they are also open to remote working with occasional visits to the office.

Main responsibilities for the Furniture Technician are to: Develop the client brief into technical and production drawings and renders; Ensure the product is engineered and designed for manufacture and assembly is carried out; Ensure drawing accuracy and presentation meets the required standard; Survey and template site work as required and undertake pre installation checks.

Skilled in 3D CAD using SolidWorks, you’ll have at least 5 years’ experience in a wood based environment – joinery, shop fitting or cabinet making. CNC and or cabinet making experience would also be beneficial. You’ll be liaising with other departments using your excellent communication skills so will be able to work as part of a team and be able to create effective working relationships. Precise and conscientious, you’ll have an appreciation of their end of the marketplace, with attention to detail and careful considerations of materials and techniques.

The role of Exhibition & Display Designer is a demanding and exciting role with frequent challenges creating exciting cutting edge designs.

Main Duties include: Creating detailed floor plans and technical drawings using VectorWorks; Producing rendered set visuals/sketches and fly-throughs where appropriate to market their cutting-edge designs; Being an expert in your field by volunteering innovative creative input and bespoke design ideas; Gathering information using available resources in order to cost out a reasonable estimated quotes; Contributing proactively through on-going communication, meetings etc. with all appropriate departments; Taking responsibility for being at the forefront of the design profession by keeping abreast of new developments in design and technology; Being a proactive team member engaging professionally with internal staff whilst also acting as an ambassador for the company externally.

You’ll have 3+ years’ experience in a similar role including some exhibition / display experience. With a high degree of creativity and spatial awareness, you’ll have good problem solving skills plus VectorWorks (or equivalent), Adobe CS and rendering skills. You’ll be a multi-tasker who has the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload and have a desire to be innovative with a positive and flexible approach to work. As a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with a good sense of humour, you’ll be able to react to change quickly, have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and a driving licence.
