They seek a Technical Product Designer / Product Engineer to work within their Innovation and Design team on innovative new products to ensure product compliance on all new and existing designs.
The duties of the Product Designer will include to: Design and develop new products using Autodesk Inventor; Provide internal technical support to the sales team; Support marketing with visualisations and technical information; Oversee and report on product testing; Manage CAD data using Autodesk Vault; Produce product renders and imagery using KeyShot software; Compile and update bills of materials as required; Carry out technical analysis of new and existing product designs; Analyse existing products and introduce efficiencies where possible to cut cost; Work with their ERP system; Oversee prototype production.
With knowledge of common manufacturing processes, including machining, turning and fabrication, you’ll ideally be well versed in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and KeyShot with Autodesk Vault and Adobe CC an advantage. You’ll be Degree level educated in Product Engineering or Industrial Product Design and be an enthusiastic, technically minded problem solver with excellent attention to detail and commercially aware. In return you will be joining a happy group of people who support each other and are very community spirited. They have taken part in The Big Build DIY SOS and support a number of fundraising activities.
