This role requires a strong, driven and experienced sales individual to drive sales and profit with new and existing clients, whilst managing accounts and relationships proactively. Predominately covering the South East region, this is a field-based, customer centric role, in which the ideal candidate will employ a consultative approach, taking their influencing skills to clients directly.

Regularly meeting with customers, you will be equally as comfortable communicating with them on a one to one basis as you would be delivering presentations to a group of clients. The ability to listen, build rapport and use intuitive approaches to manage professional relationships with our highly regarded key accounts is essential to this role.

With a University degree, or the ability to demonstrate a good standard in literacy and numeracy, you’ll ideally come from a property development sales, associated construction industry, supply or interior design sales background. With experience in sales project management you’ll have a good understanding of continuous improvement techniques, lead generation and business development. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentational) will be needed along with the ability to operate self-sufficiently in a principally field based role. You’ll be organised, self-reliant, adept at prioritising, able to meet deadlines, demonstrate the potential to operate at a tactical level and show strategic thinking. Good computer literacy (specifically Excel) will also be needed.

They are currently seeking an Estimator to join their company to create door hardware schedules for high end residential construction projects. Working with the architects, designers and contractors you need to ensure quotes and schedules are submitted on / or before the required date, sent to all the correct people and included in all of the construction project documentation where applicable. It is also the responsibility of the estimator to follow the quote / schedule through, ensuring the company remain the nominated suppliers, this is vitally important. Once the construction begins on site with a nominated contractor to build or renovate the property the estimator hands the project over to a project coordinator.

You should have experience in estimating or setting out in either joinery, architectural hardware or in construction. Practical, you will need to be able to understand the technicalities of door and window details and advise where details drawn up may cause problems and keep well organized under pressure. You’ll need good time management skills to control and prioritize your work load, a good level of numeracy and clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. IT skills to include MS Outlook, MS Excel, ACT CRM system or similar Ironmongery scheduling software.
